Silicone entrainments in process gas in industries like airbag manufacturing or semiconductors can prove to be a challenge for most conventional oxidizers.  However, the Cor-Pak® Oxidizer with special modifications for silicone has been the answer for reliable VOC destruction in dozens of facilities that have this special condition. When silicone emissions are heated to temperatures required for VOC destruction (1400-1500°F), they undergo a chemical process that renders them into sticky, semi-solid state.  This will cause them to build up on surfaces and "bake" over time.  If this continues unchecked, the silicone build-up can eventually plug a heat exchanger with no remedy for removing it.
